Świętokrzyskie Teacher Training Cente (ŚCDN) participated last December 10 in the Regional Workshop Conference entitled “Take a Step into the Future: Synergy of Erasmus+ and eTwinning programs” which was held in the Center for Vocational and Continuing Education in Kielce and organized by Kielce Board of Education, with the participation of 49 teachers.

FUNIBER organizes the virtual session “Piloting the DigitalTA platform: first comments”

The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) organized last November 18 the virtual information session in Spanish language “Piloting the DigitalTA platform: first comments” for students of the Master in Education promoted by FUNIBER, as well as teachers of the Teacher Training Center of Segovia (CFIE Segovia), to show them the platform of the Erasmus+ DigitalTA project (2022-2025)led by the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO).

Dr. Thomas Prola, co-coordinator of the project, presented the platform and its functionalities to the attendees. Approximately 120 students will test the platform as part of an evaluation activity for the final project of the subject “ICT in the classroom”. The students will be asked to reflect on their experience as users of the platform.

How does this platform work?

The platform offers five modules:

  1. My experience: It is a space to discuss problems and solutions in the classroom, ask for advice and receive support.
  2. Reflection management: In this section, teachers and trainee teachers will carry out a self-reflection on their teaching practices.
  3. My tutoring: Users can ask for help and guidance from experienced professionals at different educational levels, both individually and in groups.
  4. Case studies: This section contains a database of case studies for analysis and strategy development.
  5. Resource repository: This module draws on user experiences and integrates a collection of filterable educational materials to improve teaching practice.

To help users navigate and connect with relevant topics and discussions, content is organized into specific themes: digital technology; classroom management; school culture; curriculum, planning and development; communication and relationship building; collaboration and professional development; diversity and inclusion.

Students will be able to carry out certain actions within the platform, such as, for example, reading international experiences, sharing an experience with the learning community, doing a case study and searching for resources to reflect on their own practice. On the other hand, tutors will be able to share an experience, develop a case study and offer individual tutoring, among other actions. Finally, all of them will have to fill in the platform’s satisfaction questionnaire in order to propose improvements to the partners.

Currently, the number of registrants on the platform is almost 600 people, belonging to the different institutions participating in the project: AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts Antwerp (APfrom Belgium; Uniwersytet Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach (UJKand Swiętokrzyskie Centrum Doskonalenia Nauczycieli (ŚCDN) from Poland, in addition to the Centro de Formación del Profesorado de Segovia (CFIEand the Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana (FUNIBER) from Spain.

Faculty of Education of Palacký University organizes the Didactics Festival to disseminate the project

The Faculty of Education of Palacký University organized the Didactics Festival (of subjects) on November 7. Attendees interested in educational innovations gathered to hear inspiring presentations filled with ideas, experiences, and practical tips, including the use of DigitalTA platform. The experts and enthusiasts alike were connected over the theme “Competency Framework for Teacher Education Graduates” and its integration into the preparation of future educators.

UJK professor Agnieszka Szplit participates in a conference to disseminate project results

Dr. Agnieszka Szplit, lecturer at the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce (UJK), recently participated in the international conference entitled “Evidence-based approach in Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. From data to knowledge, from knowledge to practice“, organized by the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Program and the European Solidarity Corps, which brought together approximately 140 education specialists from 20 countries.

UNEATLANTICO presents the DigitalTA project’s virtual platform to the Nicaraguan educational community

Thomas Prola and Emmanuel Soriano, professors at the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), participated, on November 6, virtually, in the event “Educational Technology in the Digital Age”, organized by the National Education System of Nicaragua, to show the digital platform of the European project Erasmus+ DigitalTA (2022-2025) led by the university.

UNEATLANTICO presents the virtual platform of the DigitalTA project to teachers and students of the Education programs

More than a hundred students of the Degree in Primary Education and the Master’s Degree in Teacher Training of Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), accompanied by several of their teachers, attended last October 22 in the auditorium of the university to the presentation of a digital platform that aims to support the educational community in their transition process to the teaching profession.
