The partners of the European project Erasmus + DigitalTA (2022-25) meet in the city of Olomouc (Czech Republic), to organize the agenda of actions for the last year of operation of the project.
The meeting, held at the Univerzita Palackého v Olomouci (UP) in the Czech Republic, served to discuss the progress of the project and define the future plans of all participating institutions, establishing a clear roadmap for the milestones and objectives of the project. Likewise, the progress of the DigitalTA platform, developed by the technological leader FUNIBER, was presented.
The results of the project’s research on the training needs of young European teachers made it possible to establish thematic priorities for the establishment of digital resources to support young in-service or apprentice teachers at a time of transition to apprenticeship teaching.
Digital technologies, classroom management, communication and relationship building, diversity and inclusion, collaboration and professional development, school culture, curriculum, planning and development were the starting point for building the first two modules of the platform. “My Experience” is designed for in-service teachers to share their challenges and issues they face in the classroom. The second module, “Learning Community” encourages social interaction and collaboration among teachers from different educational levels.
The platform emerges as a space where teachers can share their challenges, reflections, resources and best practices with each other. Work is currently underway to develop modules for mentoring and resource search.
In addition, the partners emphasized the need to disseminate the results of the research at the local level, with the aim of sharing the knowledge gained widely in the educational community.
The participants also learned about the operation of another similar initiative developed by the UP, the DigiDoupě project, which aims to increase the digital literacy of future educators, through teaching, own projects, innovations or research, among others.
The meeting was also attended by: Artesis Plantijn University of Applied Sciences (AP) from Belgium; Uniwersytet Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach y Swiętokrzyskie Centrum Doskonalenia Nauczycieli (SCDN) of Poland, as well as the Centro de Formación del Profesorado de Segovia, the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) and Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic,
UNEATLANTICO) of Spain.
