Teacher Well-being Program

Over the past three years, the project «Digital Academy in Teaching Practice for a Seamless Transition from Pre-Service to In-Service,» funded by the European community in partnership with the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), has developed resources for teacher training. The main objective has been to improve the practical training of primary and secondary school teachers in European Union countries, thus contributing to reducing burnout syndrome and professional dropout. Led by the European University of the Atlantic and in collaboration with other European institutions, we have developed an international teacher training platform with massive participation from educational institutions and educators. Recently, the project won third place in the European Union Project of the Year award, judged by an international panel, and first place in social media voting at the prestigious ACEEU Triple E Awards, held at a ceremony in Prague, Czech Republic. The project has ended, but our work continues. With the commitment to promoting our social responsibility in education through actions aimed at the comprehensive professional training, we have organized a social transfer of the project’s results to continue its findings through the Teacher Well-being Program. The program originates within the framework of the collaboration agreement between the European University of the Atlantic and the Social Action Department of FUNIBER. This is a comprehensive approach focused on professional care to increase teacher well-being and reduce teacher attrition.
