Świętokrzyskie Teacher Training Center (ŚCDN) organized an educational event in late May to share updates and summarize the final phases of DigitalTA, in which other project partners participated.
The conference was a summary of the WP3 activities for which ŚCDN was responsible. The meeting was attended by 13 trainers/mentors from the ŚCDN, who have been meeting with their groups of teachers every month since October 2023 – May 2024 for webinars on the needs of newly qualified teachers.
The meeting served to discuss the integration of the new ŚCDN teachers with the objectives of DigitalTA, to share the new advances of the project and to show them in depth the resources available in the digital platform that is being developed, facilitating their integration in their teaching practices. This tool is conceived as a space where teachers will be able to share their challenges, reflections, resources and best practices with each other.
Thomas Prola, project coordinator, participated virtually to discuss activities and strategies planned for the next phases of the project. Dr. Agnieszka Szplit, lecturer and researcher at Jan Kochanowski University (UJK), presented crucial information on how the international community can further support junior teachers.
During the conference, certificates and approvals confirming their active participation in more than 20 hours of workshops and testing of the platform were awarded to teachers. Some of the topics covered in the training were the following: legal aspects of psychological and pedagogical assistance, formative assessment, curricula and teaching plans, critical thinking, educational trends, stress management and improving well-being, among others.
To conclude the event, the various forms of ongoing support offered by the ŚCDN were presented, so that participants were clearly aware of the assistance available to them within this framework.
