The Świętokrzyskie Teacher Training Center (ŚCDN) organized on March 7th, 2024 in Kielce, Poland the event “Modern School in the Contemporary World – Erasmus+, Bilingualism,” conference, attended by 50 teachers and school principals form the Świętokrzyskie region and organized by the Education Office in Kielce.
The aim of this conference was to explore the concept of a modern school within the context of the contemporary world, focusing on the Erasmus+ program and bilingualism. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the aim is to analyse and understand the dynamics, challenges, and opportunities associated with modern educational practices, international exchange programs such as Erasmus+, and the implementation of bilingual education models.
During the conference dedicated to professional development opportunities and the implementation of eTwinning and Erasmus Plus projects, Izabela Krzak-Borkowska presented initiatives undertaken within the Digital TA project. She emphasized that the project aims to create a platform tool facilitating training, collaboration, and accessing comprehensive support for newly qualified European teachers with up to 5 years of experience. In her presentation, she highlighted that the platform can serve as a tool for uniform implementation of bilingual solutions across European Union member states.
The conference was directed towards teachers and principals from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Attendees gain a deeper understanding of the importance and benefits of modern educational practices, Erasmus+ opportunities, and bilingualism in today’s world.
As the conference concluded, its impact resonated within the educational community. Armed with newfound knowledge and inspiration, attendees left with a renewed commitment to champion change and foster inclusive learning environments.
