FUNIBER organizes the webinar in Spanish “Training teachers: contributions of the European project DigitalTA and autoethnography for a reflective education”

The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) will organize, on September 26th at 5:00 pm (Spain), the webinar in Spanish “Training teachers: contributions of the European project DigitalTA and autoethnography for a reflective education”, which will be given by Dr. Elda Monetti and moderated by Dr. Thomas Prola.

The event is held in collaboration with the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de Puerto Rico (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), and the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA).

The webinar will explain the contributions of autoethnography, a research methodology that focuses on one’s own experience, to the field of teacher education. Thomas Prola, coordinator of the Erasmus+ DigitalTA project, an initiative that aims to facilitate the transition of teachers from studies to the world of work, will show the progress of the project and the main functions of the virtual platform created for this purpose. This tool emerges as a space where teachers can share their challenges, reflections, resources and best practices with each other.

Elda Monetti holds a PhD in Education Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She teaches Primary Education and is the director of research projects related to university education. She is also the author of several publications and books. Thomas Prola holds a PhD in Education Sciences from the University of Barcelona (UB).
