The Faculty of Education of Palacký University organized the Didactics Festival (of subjects) on November 7. Attendees interested in educational innovations gathered to hear inspiring presentations filled with ideas, experiences, and practical tips, including the use of DigitalTA platform. The experts and enthusiasts alike were connected over the theme “Competency Framework for Teacher Education Graduates” and its integration into the preparation of future educators.
The event was attended by 23 students, 7 primary and secondary education school teachers or mentors, 1 continuing Training Education Provider, 4 education policy makers or members of the public administration, and 7 higher education teacher educators.
What were the objectives of the event?
- Present insights from beginning teachers regarding the challenges they face in their profession and their methods for solving problems.
- Introduce the platform as a supportive tool to assist with real-world issues encountered in teaching practice.
- Showcase potential further applications and uses of the platform, such as possible mentoring and tutoring module, reliable sources, comments on experience.
The event had very positive outcomes for the community. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the DigitalTA platform, designed to support beginning teachers in navigating real-world challenges and enhancing their professional development.
Targeted resources, practical strategies and networking opportunities were provided to help beginning teachers address classroom challenges with confidence and competence.
Participants were introduced to new ideas, practical tips, and innovative teaching methods that can be applied directly in the classroom.
In addition, connections were made between educators, experts and enthusiasts interested in educational innovations, fostering a supportive community for pre- and in- service teachers.
Furthermore, attendees gained knowledge about the Graduate Teaching Competency Framework.
